Need help my linux box keep reboot after change the hostname


Hi:

I am new to linux, please help me! I made change the hostname in my linux box "vi /etc/sysconfig/network" from localhost.localdomain to testbox.localdomain. When I reboot the linux box right after the change, it cannot boot up, it reboot itself after "setting clock.... [ok]....starting udev....[ok]...and reboot... Please help, thanks for helping in any way...

new to linux

That's not where oyou would change the hostname.. you should leave the localhost.localdomain in place, as you can see it's needed by some services.

I would suggest booting from a live CD, and putting the localhost entry back the way you found it, and restart the machine

then follow this guide on how to properly change the hostname.
