Need help... installed new XFree and now GNOME doesn't come up...
Okay, I installed the newest version of XFree, and now when my system boots... it seems to load a window manager... but all that comes up is a terminal window, and a window that contains: Client List, Session Log, Checkpoint, and Shutdown.... How the heck to I get GNOME to start up again on boot? Thanks...

there should be a file called .xinitrc in your home directory. the line
exec gnome-session or something along those lines should be in there somewhere. if it's not, then that's the problem. |
