need help editing XF86Config file

Hi,

I loaded fendora core one as a dual boot on a XP machine. It work great until I downloaded the drivers for one of my dual video cards. NVidia files were processed and once it went to boot up it said X was crashed.

I tried to run edit XF86Config but the term 'edit" is rejected as a bad command. What is the correct command to edit my config file so I can change the "vesa" setting to 'NVidia' some how.

Sorry for the truely newbie newest of this question. I remember a little bit about DOS. I can do command line work. I just dont know the syntax to get access to my config file to change it.

Also, besides the NVidia 4000 card I also have a second card that is a S80 from diamand stealth. Is there any drivers for it so I can get dual screens working? or some how access the built in nvidia card on the motherboard so it works again?

Jack

as root

vi /etc/X11/xorg.conf

use the Arrow keys to move the cursor around

get cursor to right place, press i (once, to put vi into insert mode)
edit text
press Esc to get out of Edit mode
while in non editing mode, x will delete whatever the curosor is over

:wq tells vi to save and exit

:q! tells vi to exit without saving

vi is great, vi doesn't need a gui
