Need Help! Dell is No Help at all!


I am running ubuntu 8.04

An error occured

E: dpkg was interrupted,you must manually run 'dpkg --configure-a' to
correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed.please report.


I don't know how to manually run anything. Please help!

Where does it say it? You need to specify what is causing the porblem.

What happens when you run that command? Open a terminal and type in
Code:
sudo dpkg --configure-a

I am so new to this i don't know how to configure anything where do I go to do that?

You run the command in a terminal:

Application -> Accessories -> Terminal
