Yup - that's what you have to do

PS:
You should also tell us:
1. What OS and version you're trying to "install" on(i.e. which - of many - operating systems are you using?)

2. What version of "Dungeons and Dragons" you're trying to install (i.e. where - of possibly multiple places, did you get this program?)

3. More details about exactly how you're trying to install

... and, perhaps most important ...

4. The exact wording of the error message you're getting

Thanx in advance

Here's a link which purports to explain how to install Dungeons and Dragons on Linux. Looks like it is designed specifically for windows. You will need to install wine on Ubuntu (there is a link on the page) in order to use it. The instructions are for an older version of Ubuntu. Good Luck.

Just for clarification: Linux is not Windows. It will not run Windows programs natively. If you want to run a Windows program you have to use an emulation layer, like Wine. The program you want to run with Wine may or may not run. There is no guarantee that it will work. A lot of helpful info to get Windows programs running can be found in the Wine Application Database, which should be consulted before installing a program.

Did you do exactly what is mentioned in the tutorial? At which point do you get the error message, when you try to install the game or when you try to start the installed game?

I don't understand. You can't download the game anymore? And why do you want to download it again?

Once you have Wine installed (using Ubuntu Software Center), try this from the command line:

Code:
wine path/to/windows/executable.exe
