Unhappy Need Help


Ok I've installed Fedora Core 5 and everythings going good but for some reason i cannot get my sound to work. I've installed the latest ALSA Drivers but i keep getting the same message at startup.

Error while initializing the sound driver:
device: default can't be opened for playback (No such device)

Could you please help me out I'm Running it on a:


Dell Latitude 110L Processor Celeron M 350 (1.30GHz)
CDROM 24X
USB Floppy Drive External
Wireless Dell 1450 802.11 A/B/G
HD 40 GB
Modem 56 kbps v.92
Ethernet Intel 100
USB 2.0
Memory 512 MB

Sound Card

Type alsaconfig

The next screen will show the the sound card detected (if any) and whether the controls are muted or need to be raised.
