I'm newbie to linux,
Hello and welcome to LQ, hope you like it here.

seriously consern how to find a distro that can venture me in this wondefull world.
..."which distro" is one of the more volatile questions here. "How" is just a matter of trying stuff out. I would suggest running a LiveCD like KNOPPIX to give you a first impression (without touching your harddisks). If you get the idea and like what you see, read some of the "which distribution" threads here at LQ (look for them using the search). The just try out one or two you think would fit you best. Often Fedora, SuSE and Mandrake are offered as suggested distro's for people new to Linux.

With no programming experience,
Isn't needed if you don't want to learn that.

but ready for learning linux.
Thats the spirit. Just remember to keep that up when stuff goes belly up.

BTW, it would definately help if you come up with descriptive thread titles. "Need help" usually do not attract the right attention because people don't know what its about and we already know you need help else you wouldnt be here :-]

i like suse..but for a really new guy to linux and you have no programing experience..ubuntu would be my choice for you..although keep in mind ubuntu dosnt come with kde...you would need kubuntu for that which is another good distro for the newbie..suse is also good to..

Ubuntu & Kubuntu is the SAME underlying system. It is made by the same people, release by the same people. The only difference is the Gnome & KDE parts are the responsibility of different team leads. Trust me it is the same thing.

If you don't believe me go to the ubunutulinux dot org home page and you will see both Ubuntu & Kubuntu on the right. If that is not enough get onto irc freenode server #kubuntu and ask Jonathan Riddell the project lead or other people there as well.

I promise, Kubuntu & Ubuntu is the same thing except for the Desktop manager.

Might want to have a look at ubuntuforums as well.

I also replied to your other thread in the Ubuntu forum titled "kde?"

I'm not sure that anyone was arguing this point.....;)
