Need a little help with ntfs and mounting!
Hello Everybody!
I'm a complet :newbie: and I need help mounting a ntfs partition on Fedora Core 3. I recieve this [root@fc3djwmsrv djworks]# mount /dev/sda5 /mnt/win-d mount: fs type ntfs not supported by kernel when I try to mount! What should I do? Mounting a FAT partition worked well. Is there any good book for Fedora Core or something for the basisc (mounting, creating files, linking, deleting files etc) like the FreeBSD Handbook? |
Unlike many other distros Fedora doesn't include the NTFS drivers in their distro because they fear that it may be patented in some way and that they're exposing themselves to risk by distributing it.
Luckily you can easily get the necessary drivers from here: http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/rpm/fedora3.html |
