NIS provides centralized user account management and NFS allows a shared file system on one machine to be mounted on another.

Since I replied to the other thread (before this one was opened) with an admonition about homework, I am now going to issue a formal warning.

You had the opportunity to respond in the other thread, but chose to just repeat the same question. That is not acceptable behavior.
