Need a guru


Is there a guru that will pit zorin lite on a 12 year old travelmate acer....I want firefox....Teracopy if possible....Wi fi and a player to play mp3s or what ever.....I want to sent it in the mail and get it back About n4 years ago I put lite on a window 7 machine but lack time and confidence to do it on this laptop....Charlie


Any kind people out there

Have you looked for a Linux User Group in your area? That might be your best bet; LQ members are scattered all over the world.

Also, what are the specs of the machine? If it's 12 years old, trying to resurrect it might not be worth the effort.

only if you can cover UPS ground shipping BOTH WAYS to the DETROIT area ( and have it INSURED )

but that will be MORE expensive that finding a LUG in your area
start with your local library and Universities

N.M ??? New Mexico ? or someplace else


but a 2003 small laptop is going to be SO low resource
that firefox will have some problems

post the specs for this very old small laptop

Link to travel mate online review with specs shown before I say anything else.
Zorin may not be the best choice either. Depending on hardware specs.
