Talking Need a good web-based e-mail account for Evolution

Hi

I've tried repeatedly to get my Hotmail account accessible via Evolution and Thunderbird, to no avail. It looks like it will be too difficult to achieve, given my lack of experience.

Does anyone know of a good web-based e-mail account which can be accessed via Evolution/Thunderbird? I like being able to use the app on my PC to send and recieve messages without logging on to the internet site to do so.

Thanks

Al

Gmail can be accessed via Thunderbird if you turn POP access on. I assume you can use POP accounts with Evolution and if so, then you'll be able to use Gmail with that as well.

Web-based e-mail account

Nylex.

Thanks for the note. I tried to register for Gmail but I need to be sent a referral from another Gmail user.

Do you know of any other options?

Al

I can send you an invite for Gmail . Just let me know what your current email address is, but don't put it on here, because you'll end up getting spammed (send me an email with it in, address is on my webpage which is in my profile).
