nearly got it working ?

Hi folks

im a real novice at this and this is my 6th or 7 attempt to install linux over a couple of years and so far the most successful,

ive got ubunto 9.10 on a duel boot and it works and connects to the internet but i cant get the wifi to work

I have an edimax ew 7711 uan antenna which i have to use as the base unit is so far away and it will not work with linux ?

The system seems to recognise it (but im not sure) but any way it wont connect

ive got edimax linux drivers on the installation cd, but these dont seem to be drivers as i understand them, rather an instruction on how to program the drivers, which is well beyond me to understand

is there any way to get this operational which is understandable to inepts like myself

please give any advice/ instruction in VERY simple terms thanks

Bad news is: you will have to "program" the drivers.

Good news: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1236802

It would do you good to join the community until you can do it on your own.
