NdisWrapper Newbie

Here is the case guys:

1:OS- FC2(I know there is an FC4, ill get to is eventually)
2:NdisWrapper Version 1.2(I believe the latest)
3:Notebook(Dell 7500,Old)
4:Wireless Card: NetGear MA401

Now the problem is what do I do after installing the dirver for my card. I understand its somthing about *modprobe*. And keeping in mind I am a complete newbie, what do I do. Explain the step to me like I was stupid also please put commands around *command*. It helps.

Vertel
Thanks

Code:
modprobe ndiswrapper
Code:
ifconfig wlan0 up
Code:
dhcpcd wlan0
if you need to set the essid or wep key use

Code:
iwconfig wlan0 essid "******"
Code:
iwconfig wlan0 key ********
before doing the dhcpcd, you might need to add open or restricted after key in the last line.

When i get to putting in:

*ifconfig wlan0 up*

the response is

(wlan0: unknown interface: No such device)

What do I do, or what might I have done wrong?

Is that suppose to install the driver?
If so i already have.
When I type in *ndiswrapper -L* it tells me the drive is available.
Yet still there is no wlan0

yep that installs the driver.

What type of card? usb etc?

or

Code:
dmesg | grep ndiswrapper
which gives me

Code:
ndiswrapper version 1.1 loaded (preempt=yes,smp=no)
ndiswrapper: driver rt2500usb (BELKIN,07/15/2004, 1.02.00.0000) loaded
wlan0: ndiswrapper ethernet device **:**:**:**:**:** using driver rt2500usb
usbcore: registered new driver ndiswrapper

Nope,

Its a NetGear MA401 11Megs
If you google it, you can get a better image and discription.

I dont know if it helps or not but the notebook that has fc2 also has win2k. Its Dual Boot as you can figure. Still when I use win2k it recognizes the card. I think you are right though, it does not see the card. Should I uninstall everything up till ndis and then start from scratch. OR do you know what else could be wrong.
