Ndiswrapper install - pointing to linux kernel

Hello there,

Thank goodness there's a newbie forum here! I'm trying to get ndiswrapper installed on mandrake 10.0 community. One of the prerequisites is to

Make sure there is a link to the source from the modules directory:'/lib/modules/<VERSION>/build' should be a link to the kernel source, where <VERSION> is the version of the kernel you are running.

Well can anyone explain exactly what this means? I'm sorry but I'm really new and maybe I shouldn't be trying out 10.0 community as my first distro but everything else is working well and I've had a good look in other forums to no avail. Any help as usual is greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Chris

Link in modules

Hi,
Having a link from the modules-directory to your kernel-source means
Code:
ln -s /usr/src/linux-2.6.3 /lib/modules/2.6.3/build
provided your kernel is 2.6.3 (<VERSION> in your mail)
One can have this easily done if the kernel is "installed" after compilation:

$ cd /usr/src/linux
$ make menuconfig # or make xconfig
$ make bzImage modules
$ sudo make modules_install
$ sudo make install # if you don't want to do it by hand.

There is only a RPM folder on Mandrake 10

there is only a RPM folder in the /usr/src directory, where should the symbolic link for the ndiswrapper be pointing to ?
