NDISwrapper install on FC3. No clue....

Hey all!

Having recently installed FC3 already I am facing a huge problem (well, to me anyway), namely no drivers available for my WLAN NIC. I am using a Sitecom WL-121 which according to data found runs a TI TNET1113 or ACX100 chipset.

I also stumbled across something called NDISwrapper which supposedly allows me to use my existing XP driver, but.... Even following the Wiki available I am completely and utterly puzzled. When getting to the MAKE INSTALL command I get numerous errors saying command not found etc...

I made the link to the kernel source as described in the official guidelines, but did not do any patching or modifying to the existing kernel 2.6.9-681, nor did I install the 4K stack override patch. Of course I logged in as root when running the whole procedure.

Who can help me with a step by step install of this thing so I can get my WLAN running under Linux and enjoy a world without Win XP? I'd hate to have to give it up over a detail like this :-(

Well, if you do have an ACX100 chipset, you'll want to have a look at the native linux drivers.

To be honest, the best step-by-step for ndiswrapper install instructions you'll find are in the INSTALL file that comes with the ndiswrapper files. Probably the best thing to do at this point is to post the actual errors your getting from make install, otherwiser we are just going to be guessing. However, be aware that Fedora and ndiswrapper can be a poor fit. Be sure you've grabbed the latest ndiswraper files, maybe even the 1.0-rc files.
