Nautilus cannot be opened

Hi
I am using RH7.2. I have 2 harddisks and I am dualbooting WIN2000.

Yesteday, just after logged in as "root" I got a prompt (a very big one) regarding gconf. It says that Nautilus cannot run and there might have some possible errors in OAF blah..blah.. I could not really understand all those.

The main thing is I cannot run Nautilus.

Would someone help.

Thanks

Nasser

Hey

its me again. I am giving u the full error description below.
*********
Gconf Error:
No database available to save your configuration:
Unable to store a value at key
'apps/nautilus/defaults/novice/apps/nautilus/preferences/show_hidden_files,' as the configuration server has no available database. There are two main reasons for this problem:
1) your configuration path file does not contain any databases or wasn't found or 2) OAF mistakenly created 2 gconfd processes. If u have two gconfd processes (or had two at the time the second was launched), then it is an OAF bug, not a gCOnf issue. Logging out, killing oafd, gconfd, and logging back in may help. As always check the users.*syslog for details on problems gconfd encountered. All further errors show only on terminal.
*****************
Yep that is the full account of the error. I hope some GURU must have the solution ready. Help this NEWBIE out.

Thanks for ur patience.

Nasser
