nam not working in ubuntu 10.04


please send me the correct procedure to patch the tk-8.4-lastevent.patch...stuck with this for 3 days
im new to linux so not aware how to patch... will be really thankful to you

please send the terminal commands

Ubuntu 10.04 (desktop) is no longer supported. The best thing you can do is install a version of Ubuntu (such as 12.04) or another distro (such as Debian 7) that is supported and then see if you have any problems.
