nagios to ms exchange server

How to seup nagios to send email to mails in MS Exchange server ?

Hello,

Set up Postfix or another MTA and relay all your mails to your MS Exchange server. Look at Google for manuals on how to install and configure Postfix. A RHCE should know that.

Kind regards,

Eric

My question was using remote exchange server can nagios be configured to send mail ?

Hi,

And my answer was clear I assume. You'll need an MTA (Mail Transfer Agent) like for example Postfix installed on your Nagios server in order to forward/relay messages to your mailserver. Nagios itself sends to localhost, doesn't have a MTA included. So you'll need to configure relaying/forwarding your messages on OS level. Nagios uses the mail/mailx command of the server it's installed on.

Kind regards,

Eric
