Nagios NSClient - ERROR: Could not complete the request check log file for more information.


Hi to all,


I want to ask for help regarding Nagios Core 4.1.1, I successfully installed it and added host. Upon adding I noticed that the disk usage contain error.


C:\ Drive Space

UNKNOWN 06-07-2016 23:08:55 0d 0h 21m 44s 3/3 NSClient - ERROR: Could not complete the request check log file for more information.

define service{
use generic_service
host_name file
service_description C:\ Drive Space
check_command check_nt!USEDDISKSPACE! -l c -w 80 -c 90
}

I'm monitoring Windows Server 2012

What does "check log file for more information" mean to you?

Thanks for the comment, How can I view the check log file? I'm a total newbiee I just read forums and articles to do this set up

Well, since it is a client-issued error, how about check the logs on that client?
Start > Run > eventvwr.exe

What have you read, and where did you read it?

I'm monitoring a windows server 2012, what kind of log are we looking for? there a lot of log here.

Then check the nagios_server daemon file.
Might be in /var/log/nagios/ something...

There should also be an NSSClient+ log file on the "windows server 2012"
Try the client documentation.
