Mysql can't start

Mysql can't start after I uploaded my.cnf file in /etc directory before that everything was okay but after I uploaded my.cnf and then restarted the mysql it can't boot

Starting MySQL database server: mysqld . . . . . . . . . . . . . . failed!

I tried to delete my.cnf and try again but the same error ...

it seems like; changes that you have made causing problems. Also deleting configuration files never solves any problem.

So you should create default cnf file, if you want to make mysql working

Where can I find the default file ? I tried with any my.cnf files from the net the problem is still not solved :(

We need to know what distro name/version and mysql version. Also, there should be messages in the logs.
