Question mysql ???

hi

i am unable to run mysql. I do not know if it is already installed. If not, how do i find the rpm for mysql and install it. I use RedHat Linux 7.2. I have installed kde only.

type

ps -aef | grep mysqld

to see if the mysql daemon is running. If you don't find mysqld in the list of processes, try to start it by typing

./bin/safe_mysqld &

If it's not installed, you can download the package from http://www.mysql.com.
