mysql

Can someone explain to me the most efficient way to restore a sql database? using php scripts is not very efficient because of time outs, and I made a script that does a bunch at once and refreshes, but it ends up being full of errors because it just messes up.

Is there a way to do it with the command line? There's the mysql command way of doing it, but whatever I try to do with that thing I just get some kind of access denied error.

So is there another way to do it?

I tried phpmyadmin but when I hit submit I just get the error "the document contains no data".
