my zipslack doesn't recognize my cd-rom

I installed zipslack. But it can't "see" my cd-rom. It is TEAC CD-W58E. Please make some suggestions what may be the problem and how can i fix it.
Thanks in advance.

Posting what steps you have taken would be more helpful than me asking whether you are mounting the CD ROM drive correctly with media inserted or something else....
Are you doing something like this?
