My USB-HD keep getting in read-only status

Hi!

I use an externall USB-HD to save my datas to carry them everywhere. But the HD keeps going into read-only status! I don't know why. Everytime I have to restart the whole computer. Just unmounting and mounting again do not help.

thanks for any advice and explanation
