Hello, everyone!
I think I may have a more clarified way to ask
the question about my not-so-hot printer. I first used the recommended driver as listed in
Point & Click Linux. Then a kind soul replied to my first thread and suggested trying different drivers. I have. The first (recommended) driver printed out a test page with graphics in color but there was no text at all. So I tried another driver and that only printed out part of the graphics. A friend of mine who uses Windows suggested going into the printer and look in Properties to click on text. There was nothing in the Print window that indicated any adjustments for text or graphics. At one test, text that was in color printed out (my email address). I have not found any button provided for indication of low black ink, which I wonder if that could be the problem, though the original test page printed out with some black as well as color. As you the reader of this thread may have noticed, I am so totally green with all this - I wonder if there is a book out there entitled
Linux for SUPER Dummies!?! Thank you!
