Unhappy my lexmark s305 printer will not work with ubuntu 10.x please help

I have a dell e5500 laptop, 2GHz ram 80gig hard drive dual boot linux and win xp pro. a new lexmark s305 printer can not get driver to work from lexmark web site. printer works fine with xp.pro, don't do anything with ubuntu 10.x

I solved my own problem with the lexmark s305 printer installation, by creating a root password in terminal and then installing the driver found at lexmark-inkjet-09-driver-1.5-1.i386.deb.sh and every thing is working fine.
