My first questions (Bluetooth)
Hey all,
I am a true Linux newbie. My boss just purchased an ASUS EEEPC 8G and he would like to use this Parrot USB Dongle (BT 2.0 +EDR) with the computer. Any help would be MUCH appreciated! Thanks! |
did you try pluging it in? did it not do anything, do you get errors? you should have bluetooth libraries installed, something like bluez-libs.
i think the eee pc runs xandros, so you should be able to get phone support from them. |
I'm not sure what software the Eee comes with, but it should be a cinch to install bluez if it isn't installed already. Plug in the dongle and see what happens.

I did plug it in and nothing happend. Now, the usb bt adapter only said windows but it did say it was universal pc compatable. Any ideas? How do i install bluez lib?
|
i'm not sure if the eeepc comes with xandros network or synaptic. try searching in the menu for both. launch it, and from the program do a search for bluez-libs. if you do have that installed and it's still not doing anything, then try searching for and installing kdebluetooth. either way, plug it in then post the output of 'lsusb'
