You will need to provide the Sound Card information. Give us the name, version, type, etc. Also provide us the Motherboard, OS, drivers that you are currently using.
IŽm using a SIS7012 PCI Audio Device on Mandrake 9.1
My workstation specifications are AMD Duron XP, 1050 MHz, 256MG.
I hope those informations help you all to help me... cause IŽm stuck...
When you all came to Brazil weŽll go to the beach drink beer and get laid, hahahahahahaha (with women, of course, not with me)...
Thank you all...
Your mixer settings might be muted. My sound driver had all the channels muted by default after I installed it. I'm not sure exactly how to change it with your distro, but in redhat you go to the sound & video menu then click volume control and slide them all up. I'm sure there is a way to change the levels from the shell, but I don't know it.
Well, pals...
after have my distro reinstalled (yeah... I reinstalled that) I realized that the driver and all the stuff were right... but... as a newba... I didnŽt went to the Aumix (yeah... the good and old Aumix)... and my surprise was: my sound was muted...
I wish to thank you all for the helps...... when I get the linux way of be IŽll try to help as you all are helping me...
Thank you all...
P.S.: You all are invited to drink beer with me here in Brazil...
