My dvd/cd-rom is not reading as it was supposed to
I'm having some problems with my dvd rom on linux. I don't know which model it is, but it is from lg.
Well the problem is, i got a dvd full of mp3, so i mounted it and started to copy to my hard disk, on the second music it gave me a error saying that was impossible to read the file. I tried again, same error. After sometime, i tried to copy using windows and it copied everything without error. When using mplayer i can't read dvd as good as i want. Some dvd just don't work, some stop playing in the middle of the movie. Well that's strange. How can i fix this? |
it may be a codec that mplayer can not handle....search for debian and codecs and the type of mp3 you have pls...it may need to download the codecs and install them.
http://mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/info.html#docs http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/HTML/en/linux.html#debian ps I do not use debian so seach may be useful? |
But I have already installed w32codecs (a debian codec package, LOTS OF CODECS) and libdvdcss2 (Lib for reading dvd).
