my download *.tar.bz2 in linux is a HTML document,can't uncompress,how to deal?

please give a nit more detail, what were you trying to download?
Please give the link, how was you trying to down load it? via browser or the command line, if the cli give the command.

this is the link (wget http://wireless.kernel.org/download/...-04-26.tar.bz2),
i copy the link to the termianl.after seconds get this (compat-wireless-2012-04-26.tar.bz2).

when i uncompress(sudo tar xjf compat-wireless-2012-04-26.tar.bz2) it,something wrong:
bzip2: (stdin) is not a bzip2 file.
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

i use "file" command,get this:
compat-wireless-2012-04-26.tar.bz2: HTML document, UTF-8 Unicode text, with very long lines

and how to deal it?

i have used two ways(via browser ,command line) ,at last i get the same problem.

the link is broken, open it in a browser and see, you will need to get in touch with the person/site that you got the link from to get a new one, broken links are not uncommon.

It explains the matter.
