My cd recorder not detecting cd

Hi

Just now i have installed linux AS 4.0 on Acer laptop, intel dual processor T2350,1 gb DDR2 ram.

Till installation it was ok but after i completed my installation and rebooted it is not detecting cds.Can you please tell me any possible reason and solution. May be i have to set some parameters or settings.

Can you post the contents of /etc/fstab.
