Music

I want to download music and other files... not from web pages, but from third party software. I want to just be able to type in the name of a song, and start downloading it. OK, before you start off on a tantrum kewpie, I've already done my research. I tried Qtella and a bunch of other apps, all of which have failed. I searched google, and the forums, so don't yell at me. I just want one that will work, that will actually work. I've tried approximately 7-10 and none have worked.

can you define "not working" a bit more? qtella is a gnutella client (http://gtk-gnutella.sf.net is better imho) and so needs existing hosts in order to break into the network - http://thirtythreeandathird.net/hosts. if you want a different network altogether, there's the gIFT network which is growing fast, but the linux clients are quite ugly

Also, how are you connected to the net ? Are you behind a router or firewall of some sort that could be blocking ports that these programs need in order to connect ? You do need to explain in a little more detail on what fails, error messages.

Your like saying; "My car failed today, anyone know how to fix it?"

Details get you much better responses and answers.
