Please advise which version, and release number, of linux you are using.

example. I am using version: openSUSE and release 13.2 with GNOME desktop platform.

BTW am a NON-Technical user of samba !

You may create many users on most linux versions, with ability to provide each user with own /home or not, depends what you want them doing.

Best to add your users using your linux version instructions.

To add samba users, as root user create users using pdbedit

To read the Help use command:pdbedit --help

Believe using Samba each user's rights or permissions need to be set on each computer they are to log into.

IF two separate computers try first just setting each user with read and write permission in their own /home/username on each machine.

Am not sure Samba will eXecute anything on a machine Samba is logging into.

I use Samba to transfer files from one machine to another

openSUSE Reference Samba (helps): https://activedoc.opensuse.org/book/...apter-19-samba
