multiple keepalived processes for vrrp configuration

Hi,

I've VRRP configuration with one instance. Keepalived started and it shows 3 keepalived processed running Which is understood.
If I add another VRRP instance which is like another entry to the keepalived.conf and on keepalived restart , multiple instances of keepalived seend(more than 3) after a while it comes back to 3.
Please help me in understanding why more keepalived are spawned and reduced to 3.

Thanks! Help will be appreciated.
