Multiple Installs

I finally got my drive partitioned the way I want so that I can put 3 distros on it. I have Mint installed on 1 partition which went into the mbr and installed as "/".

I am trying to install Mandriva and am at the "Choose the mount points" screen. I tried to install it as "/" on another drive but I get this error...

"There is already a partition with mount point /"

Why is this and how do I need to set the mount points for 3 distros?

Thanks.

I'm a little confused by your post. The first line says "I finally got my drive partitioned..." which would seem to indicate one drive and later you say "I tried to install it as "/" on another drive". Do you have one drive? Multiple drives? I'm not familiar with Mandriva, does it use the draklive installer? Are you getting this error while you are booted from the Mandriva Live/Install CD?

Sorry for the confusion, I have been working on this for 2 days. I have a drive that was giving me trouble with partitioning. Here is my drive...

sda2 swap
sda5 / (Mint, working with fresh install)
sda6 / (Mandriva, trying to install but getting error: "There is already a partition with mount point /")
sda7 / (OpenSuse/Other to be installed)
sda8 (file storage)

I want to try out different linux flavors. I have been using Ubuntu for about 2 years and do not like the "Amazon Suggestion" so I am preparing to bail on them. I would think that I should be able to have multiple "/" mount points if they are on separate partitions. If that is the case the question is why am I getting the error: "There is already a partition with mount point /"?
