I currently have a PC running solely on XP for gaming, Lately I have been wanting to have a separate OS for menial tasks. My plan is to run open SUSE. I want to do this in quite a complex way.
I would like to install JUST THE OS onto a small (12GB) HDD and then have my files (documents etc...) save to my main disk(250GB, two partitions, one for XP OS small files etc and the other for program files and the like)
I was wondering if it was possible to do this, and if it was, how would I go about doing it.
I doubt that this post is very clear. :P if any clarification is needed just ask.
If you want to have separate partitions for /usr,/var,/home etc. in Suse just make partitions for it on whatever drive you want and you're done.Is this what you had in mind?
