Multi Function Printer Recommendation

Do any of you have a favorite multifunction printer that you would recommend? I am abt ready to replace an oldie and would like to get something that works well with Linux - esp the scanner.

My HP Officejet Pro L7680 works like a charm. With HPLIP installed, every function is available.

It's the best investment in a printer that I ever made.

My old Epson CX3100 did great except for being slow, but it was a low end printer strictly for home use (we're talking six years old--it stayed north when I moved south).

Based on my experience, my advice would be to avoid Lexmark with Linux.

Hi,

my family is very pleased about our Brother MFC15540. The printer has a LAN interface, can do postscript, fax/scanning/printing no problem. We are using CentOS 5.x on half a dozen of machines and one Windows XP PC.

Be sure to visit Linuxprinting.org. Make sure that the printer you are interested in isn't a "door stop". HP printers are well supported by installing your distro's hplip package. But don't make any assumptions. Do your research first.

My Lexmark experience was several years ago. It's good to hear that things seem to have improved.
