Multi-boot between various Linux distros

It it possible to multiboot between various Linux installs on the same disk drive. Do I use the same /boot partition to install each of them, is there a way of automatically getting the bootloader to detect all installations on the disk and including them in a boot menu?

I am thinking of multi-booting between openSUSE/CentOS/Fedora.

Thanks

The answer is "Yes, but..." openSUSE and Fedora use the newer grub2 bootloader, but CentOS uses legacy grub. You'll be okay if you install CentOS first, then the other two. The reason is that grub2 recognizes legacy grub and the update-grub will accommodate it. If you multi-boot any legacy grub after grub2 installations you'll have to use Supergrub to recover them (or any one of the multiple ways of fixing grub2).

Thanks albinard that works perfectly. I am now multi-booting between CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu Server.

Cheers,
