Mtink port choice ???


Hi im using "pclinuxos"2 questions please.
I which port should i use for my epson sx100 printer
2 how to post an attatchment in "pclinuxos"
as i can do here many thanksAttachment 5372

I see that you are using KDE with PCLinuxOS. Can you use the KDE printer configuration utility to set up the printer, then use mtink to check the status?

hi thanks for your reply,the printer and scanner is configured in the control center,and both were working untill i changed the ink,but what about the "metink port choice", which port should i use please.
the ink is not epson original,but that always worked in windows,by just clicking continue, any thoughts

I'm not using KDE now but I have used it in the past. You may be able to find this information using KInfoCenter. Otherwise you could use the CUPS administration interface to see the details of the printer.

You can access CUPS by using a web browser. Enter the address http://localhost:631 then on the right hand side of the page there is a tab labeled Printers. Click on that then click on the printer queue name. You will see details about how the printer is connected to CUPS.

hi thanks for that.
when i went to "localhost" site my printer showes up there,i tried to add a printer but had the reply "forbiden",
i also seen all the "jobs " that i tried to print, and cancled as many as it would let me.
im still baffeled with this printer problems.
appart from the printer ,im getting on fine with linux,and starting to realy like it appreciate your help thanks
