Linux can read and write dos fat file system without a hitch
also you may need a floppy drive no chance of usb or cd on dos

If you have a NIC card on the dos machine, the easiest way may be to run an ftp server on the Linux machine.

If it's a text file, you'll need to run dos2unix after it arrives, to cvt the line endings.

A simple option, if you don't have an ftp server setup, may be to use email if both systems have an email client.
