hi ...

i follow the steps to install MRTG ...

and this error appear to me

[root@41 mrtg]# env LANG=C /usr/bin/mrtg mrtg.cfg
[root@41 mrtg]# [root@41 mrtg]# env LANG=C /usr/bin/mrtg mrtg.cfg

i do not know what is wrong here can anyone help me with this?

my linux is RHEL 5.0

can you post your mrtg.cfg because there are no clear idea what you have defined in the Traget

Using CentOS 5.2 = Redhat EL5.
I am sorry, your command may be correct.

I did : # yum install mrtg
and when doing the command 'mrtg' , the reply is :

Quote:

ERROR: Mrtg will most likely not work properly when the environment
variable LANG is set to UTF-8. Please run mrtg in an environment
where this is not the case. Try the following command to start:

env LANG=C /usr/bin/mrtg

And the reply from 'env LANG=C /usr/bin/mrtg' is
