Install it using the Suse package manager (Yast), that is what it is there for.

Try looking here:
Making SUSE Linux 10.1 the perfect desktop OS
http://www.desktoplinux.com/articles/AT7527984757.html

Try adding to your Yast sources:
Guru's RPM Site http://linux01.gwdg.de/~pbleser/
Yast Source:
http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/suser-guru/rpm/10.1/
Packman:
http://packman.iu-bremen.de/suse/10.1/

packman has most of the multimedia apps. You may also want to take a look in the Suse forum, there is a nice sticky on getting multimedia working.

You will probably also need to download a number of dependencies. Here is a website that might help. http://packman.links2linux.org/

The depencencies are listed on the bottom of the page. Be sure you download the packages for 10.1 and your particular architecture. It may work best if you download these related rpm's into a single directory.
