I'm having a bit of a problem with mplayer. Everything was working fine until I ceased using my root account as my primary one and switched to a regular user account. It was everything alright before, and now...
When I attempt to start a movie with mplayer I get the following information:
Error opening/initialising the selected video_out (-vo) device.
I guess the problem is in access rights to some video device files, but which one/s? I know I can start mplayer as a superuser, however I would like to change the permission of a file in a way that I could freely use mplayer without the necessity of logging in as "su" or doing "sudo".
if your trying to play it in the console then the device will most likely be /dev/fb0 unless your using devfs. mplayer should state which device its failing to open.
i cant play my movies in fullscreen mode with mplyer , i dont know what to do , i just want to watch my movies :S this is getting complicated, i try to use vidix and doesnt work , the only output that works for me is x11 and cant use it full screen :S what should i do?
