Exclamation mplayer

ive installed mplayer but cannot find the icon in the menu and when i typ mplayer in the terminal i get MPlayer 1.0pre7-RPM-3.4.2 (C) 2000-2005 MPlayer Team
CPU: Advanced Micro Devices Duron MG Morgan (Family: 6, Stepping: 0)
Detected cache-line size is 64 bytes
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 1 3DNow2: 1 SSE: 1 SSE2: 0
Compiled with runtime CPU detection - WARNING - this is not optimal!
To get best performance, recompile MPlayer with --disable-runtime-cpudetection.
mplayer will work if i have a file open with it, and i know that the command is correct cause i had mplayer before on a previous install what should i do?

that message is normal. if you want to run mplayer from the command line, you have to give it some files to open, or it just displays that message and quits. e.g.
Code:
mplayer song1.wma ../song*.ogg ~/something.mpg
if you want a list of all the files installed from the mplayer rpm do:
Code:
rpm -ql mplayer
