MPlayer


I'm kinda new to linux, but i think i'm catching on quickly...
I just installed MPlayer and i can't get it to work. I've gotten past all the filles it needs in the ~/.mplayer/ dir but now when i run mplayer file.avi i get:

well have you tried using a differnt -vo option (e.g xv, sdl, vesa, fbdev, gl, gl2, ggi...) use -vo help to get a list of valid outputs. i'd recommend configuring SDL as althought the scaling isn't always as good it will configure itself to an extent.
