I try the packages but everyone I try to install says it can't because its missing package "mplayer = 0.90"

thats what the --nodeps is for. it means, install anyway,
i know what i'm doing, ignore dependencies. you can't
just click on the file and have it install like that. you have
to do it at the command line.

well

well, go to this site
http://www.piorunek.pl/~dominik/linux/pkgs/mplayer/
follow their rpm instruction , then should be fine
