just wondered if there was a program for RH9 to run mp3's. I know XMMS does it, but after checking the sites from google, i only found for previous versions of redhat. anyone have an idea on how to get mp3 for rh9?

RedHat did not ship with MP3 support (in either 8 or 9)

download the plugin from the XMMS website.

The problem is, ive been to that site and downloaded a few different files all saying:
xmms-mp3-1.2.7-0.fdr.3.rh90.src.rpm
xmms-mp3-1.2.7-1.i386.rpm

they don't want to open. In terminal, i get a error saying "cannot execute binary file". ive tried doing it completely out of xwindows. in telinit 1 and 5.
