Beep media player or bmp. Its a gtk-2 port of xmms and looks much nicer if your running gnome.

If you are using KDE, Kaffeine is very easy to use, and is easy to make playlists and such with. It does a great job with things like random play. I think it leaves the others behind:

xmms not working

I am getting very frustrated with this RH 9.0.

I downloaded XMMS from http://www.xmms.org/download.php. I double click on it. I go though the very fast installation and now I am very lost. Where did I install it to? How do I start it. I go to "run program" and type in xmms and press enter and I get the player that I originally have a problem with.

SOS SOS SOS

Thanks,
Michael

try typing which to locate the xmms binary.... 'which xmms' see if it lists more than one. I'm guessing there is a symlink named xmms pointing to music match. Or you may try running 'updatedb' then 'locate xmms | less' to try to find it.
