Mp3 help


This must be a dumb question.. but is there a program like kazaa for linux? Or just a place i can download MP3's? ALSO, where can i get themes for gnome.. like themexp.org.. but for linux

Hey WarChild,
The gnome website has a few, but checkout http://themes.freshmeat.net for some slick themes.

As for kazaa-like apps, you can try limewire or http://www.freshmeat.net has a bunch of them.

BTW, if you got Redhat8 installed you'll have to install the xmms mp3 plugin before you can play mp3s. RH8 dropped out-of-the-box support for mp3.

Thanks for the help =D also - i didnt install like the KDE workstation when installed the package, but the GNOME i did, if i did install the KDE one, would it give me errors on my RH?

BTW Capt, thanks SO much for the help on the last post, i reinstalled XP and did dual boot for both. Thanks.

If you're feeling ambitious you could install wine and actually use Kazaa Lite. It's supposed to be rock solid and there's no spyware.

No, you can use either one or even both.

Glad to see your dual-boot up and running. Easy once you got XP on there, right?
