I'm not sure what distribution you are using, it is not listed under your user ID, if you are using Fedora Core 2

You can use k3b but you will have to download and install the following RPMS:

K3B version 0.11.9 K3B-0.11.9-3

Then

K3B-MP3 version 0.11.9-0K3B-MP3

Both the links contain a link to other distros

The thing is that DeadRat (and I presume FC follows
this tradition) doesn't include any MP3 or DVD reading
capabilities because they're afraid of legal consequences.

I assume that Jay's links "fix" this ... :)

I had to uninstall the version of K3B that came with Fedora Core 2 since I couldn't find any rpm to match that version of K3B and then install the 2 rpms I listed above, you will also need to install libmad and libsamplerate, which I installed through yum.

Do you use apt or yum to install software?

I use yum so I just had to issue the following commands as root to get the libraries:
yum install libmad libsamplerate id3lib

I went here and downloaded the freshrpms yum and installed it using rpm -Uhv so it would include freshrpms servers.
